This article was exactly what I needed to read today. I find it positive and motivating.
Back in August, I underwent microfracture knee surgery, and I’m still navigating the recovery process. Unfortunately, my knee still doesn’t feel quite right, leaving me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I developed deep vein thrombosis in my leg after the surgery, which required additional care. I also needed significant physical therapy. This procedure is definitely not for the faint of heart.
I want a normal a life back where I can run, ski, or even take a simple walk without pain. In February, I’ll have another evaluation with my orthopedic surgeon to assess how successful the surgery has been. Reading about Vonn’s success with a titanium replacement gives me a sense of hope for the future.
